Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu has called on other governors, to foster inter-state relations, promoting a solid subnational front, capable of holding the federal government ransom and assisting the Presidency in implementing people friendly policies.
Sanwo-olu said this today, appreciating the federal government for assisting in the procurement of additional rolling stones, to boost rail transport in the state.
He charged state governors to consider the current state of the Nigerian entity, jettison selfish ambitions and embrace collaboration to adequately tackle prevalent issues across board, without political undertone.
He further appealed to lawmakers at the state and national level to operate a synchronized system that translates, interpret and implement the laudable polices approved on the floor of the house, for the overall benefit of the masses.
According to Sanwo-Olu, the key to unlocking Nigeria’s treasure is democracy practiced in its true nature and form.
