the Independent National Electoral commission (inec) has begun the distribution of sensitive electoral materials to the headquarters of the local government areas in kogi and imo state ahead of saturday’s November 11 governorship poll.

.The head of department of voter education of inec in kogi state, haliru sule, disclosed this today amidst heavy security presence ahead of the polls.

A combined team of men of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and Nigerian Army were seen carrying out an operation show of force in and around Lokoja, the state capital.

Meanwhile, the southeast national commissioner, Kenneth Ukeagu, who briefed newsmen said the electoral body distributed the bimodal voter accreditation system machines, ballot papers, and result sheets for the election to the respective local government areas.

Ukeagu expressed confidence in the security measures laid out as he urged the electorate in the state to come out en masse to elect a governor of their choice
