Israel has continued offensives in southern Gaza, with tanks moving in through the west and death toll from Gaza health ministry rising to 25,105 Palestinians.

According to the head of Israel defense forces, Daniel Hagari, ground assault by the Israeli forces has revealed sophisticated tunnels and links abandoned by Hamas where hostages were kept and tortured.

Although negotiations on hostage release continues but Israel has rejected Hamas’ conditions of a total ceasefire and withdrawal of its forces from Gaza before the hostages can be released.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has again rejected the idea of creating a Palestinian state, making his stance clear hours after a phone call with U.S President Joe.

The U.S believes a Palestinian state alongside Israel – known as a “two-state solution” – is vital for long-term stability, but Netanyahu’s remarks appeared to deepen a public divide with the US.
