The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Ishaq Oloyede says the board has established 11 special centers, to lessen the burden on persons with disability in accessing and writing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Oloyede, speaking during an interview stated that persons with disabilities form a prominent part of the society and should be given special attention which he said although may be difficult to achieve in all local government areas in Nigeria, but some centers have been selected to meet their immediate needs.

Still speaking, Oloyede claimed that some private secondary schools are extorting their candidates, inflating the money paid for JAMB form, while every candidate is meant to register individually with his or her own phone.

The JANB boss however confirmed that the registration for the 2024 UTME started last week and will be closing in the next four weeks.
