The Code of Conduct Bureau has reportedly summoned the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, over an alleged N483 million contract frauds at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

 

 

The development comes as New Planet Projects, a company founded by the minister, benefited from a consultancy contract with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation under Betta Edu before her suspension.

 

 

Although, Tunji-Ojo, claimed he had resigned as director of the company, denying all links to any shady deal, but a letter addressed to Tunji-Ojo revealed that the CCB had invited him for an investigation, at the CCB Headquarters, tomorrow.

 

According to the letter by the CCB Director, Investigation and Monitoring, Gwimi S.P on behalf of the Chairman, Murtala Aliyu, the Bureau is investigating a case of alleged breach of the Code of Conduct for Public Officers in which his name featured prominently.
