President Bola Tinubu says sports has transcended the basic level of fun and recreation, describing it as a way of life and a channel of global harmony and unity.
The President said this while playing host to Barcelona Feminine star, Asisat Oshoala who was recently crowned 6-time African women’s player of the year.
Oshoala who visited the President and his wife in their Lagos residence, presented them with a customized jersey while restating her commitment to maintain her status as an inspiration and a good role model to younger generation.
In his remarks, the President used the avenue to charge young Nigerians to maximize every opportunity in their different fields, noting that the country is filled with talents the world has never seen while promising enabling environment for young people to thrive.
