The Abia State Government has condoled with the Chief of Army Staff, Taoreed Lagbaja over the death of five soldiers in the Aba on Thursday, announcing a N25m bounty on the killers.
The announcement follows a closed door meeting between governor Alex Otti, security chiefs, and other members of the Security Advisory Council in Abia State.
Although the details of the meeting are still sketchy, Otti in a statement offerred a N25 million (reward to anyone with useful information that could lead to the location and arrest of any of the criminals connected to the unfortunate killings.
He assured that his government will be relentless in bringing the full wrath of the law to bear on anyone or group who constitutes the slightest threat to the peace and security of the land.
