The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has faulted the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, for not reaching out to commiserate with him over the recent explosion in Ibadan.

The governor speaking during a courtesy visit by the Presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi expressed disappointment over the failure of politicians to draw lines between political ambition and humanity, stressing that it was unfortunate that some politicians play games with the wellbeing of the citizens.

On his part, Peter Obi hailed Makinde for his swift response to the situation, noting that such actions assure the people that the government is concerned about their welfare and interested their safety and security.

Governor Makinde however restated that investigations are still on, blaming the January 16 Bodija blast on illegal miners, promising to bring the culprits to book.
