The House of Representatives has postponed its resumption date from for Tuesday, April 16, 2024, to Tuesday, April 23, 2024 to accommodate the completion of renovations to the main chamber of the House to ensure its readiness for plenary sessions.
In a statement by the spokesman and Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Akin Rotimi, Jr, during the recess, Members are continuing with productive constituency engagements, while House Committees continue to hold meetings and perform oversight functions.
According to him, the need to make the decision public is in line with the legislative agenda that prioritizes transparency and accountability
The development was also conveyed to Honourable Members by the Clerk, House of Representatives, Yahaya Danzaria, Esq. in an internal correspondence.
