President Bola TInubu has written to the Senate, seeking the approval of the Senate for another $7.8 billion and another €100 million borrowing plan to ensure prompt implementation of projects.
The letter read by President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, also contained the request for the approval of the 2.18 trillion Naira supplementary budget which expeditiously scaled second reading yesterday in the house of representatives.
Tinubu also requested the confirmation of his nominees for chairman of the federal civil service commission, prof. tunji olaopa, alongside 11 others.
Akpabio, subsequently referred the request to a joint committee on finance, appropriations and national planning and economic affairs to review and approve the proposed mtef ahead of the commencement of the budget preparation.
