President Bola Tinubu has expressed sadness over the death of former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu who passed on earlier today, describing him as a man of justice and fairness.

“In a condolence message he personally signed, Tinubu said Akeredolu served with absolute loyalty, dedication and forthrightness with an unrelenting advocacy for advanced security which led to the birth of the Amotekun Corps in the southwest.

The President expressed hope that his successor lucky Aiyedatiwa will hold steadfast to the vision of governance left by the deceased political leader, and toll the path of advancement already set.

In a similar development, the president through his Spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale also expressed shock over the passing of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba describing him as a disciplined and resolute politician who contributed to nation-building through legislation, advocacy, and policy.

The late Na’Abba was Speaker of the House Representatives following the return of democracy in Nigeria from 1999 to 2003, succeeding Salisu Buhari.
