President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian national team, Victor Osimeh, Chiamaka Nnadozie and Asisat Oshoala on winning the CAF 2023 awards in different categories.
In a statement by the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the president commended the players for their outstanding performances on both national and international stages, describing them as sources of pride to the nation and an inspiration for aspiring footballers across the continent.
He stated that the award has strengthened his belief that with hard work, perseverance, and the help of God, everything the nation needs for greatness is within and available to the people.
The president also used the opportunity to challenge other Nigerians to remain resolute and committed to giving their best in whatever field they find themselves, noting that the cooperate image of Nigeria is the responsibility of everyone.
