Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi will leave the Premier League club by mutual consent after their final game of the season against Manchester United on Sunday.

De Zerbi took charge at the Amex Stadium in September 2022 and led Brighton to their highest-ever top-flight finish when they came sixth in 2022-23.

The announcement follows rumours linking the Italian to several top clubs including Bayer Munich and Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Manchester City’s Phil Foden has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Season, completing an awards double after being voted Footballer of the Year by the English Football Writers’ Association earlier this month.

Foden has scored a career-best 17 Premier League goals so far this season ahead of champions City’s final league game of the campaign.
