President Bola Tinubu has assured of the welfare and equipping of the armed forces, stating that the security of Nigeria as an entity will not be compromised.
The President said this in a statement via X, commemorating this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day which he described as a symbol of remembrance and a beacon of hope for a peaceful future.
According to him, the celebration is thoughtful and dutiful, appreciating the veterans, families of fallen soldiers, men and women of the Armed Forces of Nigeria in their committed to the daunting yet vital task of conserving security in Nigeria.
The President however emphasized that policies and programs will be put in place to ensure that that sacrifices of national heroes who paid the ultimate price to preserve the nation will never be forgotten.
