Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has restate his support and believed in the principle of separation of powers and financial autonomy for local governments.

Oborevwori stated this a valedictory Joint Account Allocation Committee, JAAC, meeting with the outgoing local government chairmen, explaining that autonomy allows local government administrators to perform optimally.

The governor argued that as a lawmaker he has seen the benefit of financial autonomy for the local governments, noting that it promotes development at the grassroots, easing the demand and dependence on state and federal government

Oborevwori however called on government at all levels to consider viable options that will better address the challenges of the nation at this critical time.
