The house of representatives has faulted narratives from some section of the media, claiming the national assembly has failed in its duty to represent the interest of the people on national issues.

 

Deputy chairman, house committee on information, Philip Agbese said this during an interview, noting that persons displeased with the speedy passage of certain bills including the change of the national anthem have been misinformed.

 

Agbese also explained why President Bola Tinubu for not addressing, stating that he had revealed that he would prefer to address the nation on June 12, to commemorate democracy day and celebrate the sacrifices of the past heroes.

 

 

The lawmaker however appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience and trust in the present administration, to deliver its promises and better the lot of Nigerians.
