The Nigerian air force says the execution of its national duty can be better with adequate funding, complete upgrade of combat equipment and employment of world class technology, capable of enhancing the safety of Nigeria.

 

Speaking on the 60th anniversary of the NAF, Director of public relations, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet said the force under Air marshal Hasssan Abubakar, has taken stocks of past failures and has introduced systems to combat such setbacks.

 

According to him, the NAF will continue to invest in research and local innovations, to improve the ability of the force to defend the country, in partnership with sister agencies.

 

Gabkwet insisted that the Nigerian military continues to record huge success in the fight against insurgency and other internal crisis, calling on Nigerians to support the military by providing relevant information where necessary.
