The labour party has released the time -table and schedule of activities for the February 3rd, 2024 Bye-elections, sequel to the announcement of the Timetable and Schedule of Activities for February 3rd, 2024, Bye Elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a memo by the party’s National Secretary, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, the Julius Abure-led National Working Committee released the approved fees for the Purchase of Nomination and Expression of Interest forms, the Purchase of Nomination, Expression of Interest and Delegate Forms which commences December 28th to January 4th, 2023 while Submission of Completed Forms ends on January 4th 2024.
According to the memo, the Primary Elections will hold on January 7, 2024 with the party leadership pegging fees for both the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms at N1.5m and N3.5m while the House of Representatives is at N1m and N2m and House of Assembly N100k and N500,000.
In another statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, interested party members were strongly cautioned against patronizing touts, while warning persons peddling fake timetable to desist or face the wrath of the law.
