The Chairman House of Representatives North West Caucus Sada Soli has condemned the recent invasion of the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on the Dangote Industries in Lagos saying it is a threat to foreign and domestic investment.

Soli, who is also the chairman of the House committee on water resources made the condemnation in a statement today, calling on President Bola Tinubu, to intervene in the matter of preferential foreign exchange allocations and ensure that decorum is employed to avoid any implosion.

According to him, the anti-graft agency has the right to carry out fraud related investigation but methods employed including, storming offices and making a spectacle in the public space, is both counter productive and capable of sending the wrong signals to intending and existing investors.

Recall EFCC had invaded the premises of the Dangote Industries Limited in Ikoyi, Lagos, ostensibly to collect documents relating to alleged abuse of foreign exchange allocations during the nine-year tenure of the immediate past governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
