Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reemphasized the importance of synergy and harmonious relationship between the executive and legislative arm, describing it as a driver of development and sustainability.
Sanwo-Olu speaking at the 18th edition of the Executive and Legislative parley, lauded the state house of assembly, led by Mudashiru Obasa, for partnering with his government, to oversee people-oriented project executed under his tenure.
According to the governor, good governance can be derived with good policies, but the partnership between the legislative arm and the executive is crucial for the development of the state into a megacity.
Reacting on behalf of the speaker who was not present at the event, the Majority Leader, Noheem Adams, said the focus of the house, was to introduce and legislate policies that will engender development in the state.
