Kosofe local government has refuted claims by some persons participating in the recent Nigerian Army recruitment exercise, presenting certificates of origin allegedly issued by the Local Government administration.

 

In a statement by the acting Chief Press Secretary of the local government, Oluwole Obisanya, the local government completely rejected the validity of the documents paraded by the alleged persons, reaffirming its policy of not providing certificates of origin to anyone who is not a genuine indigene of Kosofe Local Government and Lagos State at large.

 

According to him, the local government has established reliable channels for obtaining certificates of origin for legitimate residents of Kosofe, with each document undergoing thorough scrutiny, to guarantees that certificates bearing the seal of Kosofe Local Government are of the highest integrity and cannot be criticized.

 

Obisanya further noted that Kosofe LG, in collaboration with law enforcement authorities, are thoroughly examining the origins of the fraudulent certificates and striving to hold accountable those responsible for their creation.

 

Kosofe however appealed to organizations and institutions not hesitate to contact the council with any concern or question regarding the authenticity of a certificate of origin or any other official document from the local government.
