Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has ordered the stoppage of levy collection by the management of the Kaduna State University (KASU), in a bid to ameliorate the suffering of the people.
The governor through his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Shehu, said the collection of levies negates Government’s downward review of the extant fees regime announced in 2023, an intervention to cushion the effects of the general rising cost of living.
According Sani, his government is committed to policies, programmes and projects that will bring succour to the poor, underserved and the vulnerable.
He also promised to sustain all necessary measures to ensure access to free and qualitative education for every citizen in Kaduna State from primary to tertiary level.
