The federal government has promised that intervention programs and poverty alleviation initiatives get to the appropriate people, to avoid wasting government resources and enriching corrupt persons.

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Wale Edun said this in an interview, noting that the Tinubu administration is working tirelessly to ensure that systems are in place to guard against diversion of government programs as experienced in previous administrations.

Edun also stated that non-repayable grants of fifty thousand naira will be disbursed to traders, to aid their ventures and ensure that goods and services continue to flow in and out of the market to mitigate hunger and scarcity experienced in the country.

He further noted that crude production had increased since President Tinubu assumed office and the President is working with stakeholders to ensure that crude oil production is sustained and meets the OPEC crude quota.
