Nigeria’s Super Falcons have started receiving bonuses from world football governing body, FIFA for their participation in the 2023 FIFA World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Recall, FIFA announced that each player participating in the Mundial will get $30,000 for group matches and $60,000 If they progress to the second round.

The falcons lost to England in the second round but reports say $40,500 is what was disbursed instead of $60,000.

According to FIFA, there was an agreement with the Australian Government to deduct a 32.5% withholding tax for teams resident in Australia which was not applicable to teams in New Zealand because of wavers granted by the host nation.
