The Former Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro has denied the charges of plotting a coup as thousands of supporters gathered on the street of Sao Paulo to protest against a likely plot to arrest him.
Bolsonaro is being investigated over his role in an alleged coup attempt on January 8, 2023, when his supporters stormed government buildings in the capital Brasilia in protest against Luiz Lula Da Silva’s presidential victory.
A South American journalist, wells said Bolsonaro denied the allegation of using the coup as a means to hold on to power while calling for a bill of amnesty for those jailed in last year’s Brasilia riots.
The supreme court has also been accused of persecuting the former president, who has been barred from seeking office for eight years.
