The House of Representatives has passed the N27.5 trillion 2024 budget for a second reading.
The House leader, Julius Ihonvbere, while leading the debate on the general principles of the budget, commended President Bola Tinubu for paying attention to national security, education and citizen welfare.
Ihonvbere noted that if budgetary allocation towards the national security and education is religiously implemented, it will better the lot of Nigerians.
According to the lawmaker, the areas of focus are critical aspects of the Nigerian society, pleading with the house to expediate action on the budget.
Recall President Tinubu had presented the 2024 Appropriation Bill of N27.5 trillion christened the Budget of Renewed Hope before a joint session of the national assembly.
