The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has defended the trajectory of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, noting that though tough times exist, the ruling government has the best intentions to fix Nigeria’s challenges.

Wike who made his defense while flagging off the resurfacing of the 182 existing roads and remedial works on bridges in Maitama, Garki and Utako districts urged Nigerians to go beyond party lines and support President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

“So many Nigerians have lost hope about the government. So, this administration is saying you don’t need to lose hope, I am bringing back that hope for you.”

Wike also harped on the urgent need to bring development to rural areas in the FCT, noting that, it would reduce unemployment, crime and other challenges.

“The period of abandonment of project is over. No project will be abandoned under this administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has mandated me and the Minister of State to take care of FCT.

“FCT people this is your own turn to benefit. We will not be tired of coming to meet you from time to time. If fact if there was any way to relocate and stay with you to understand how you feel, we will do it because we are minister for the people,” Wike said.

The Minister who thanked the National Assembly for its support for the FCT, assured that his Ministry will continue to work with the lawmakers for the development of the Nation’s capital.
