President Bola Tinubu has restated his commitment to prioritising the welfare of woman, protect their rights and advance their causes, in order to give them a front role in Nigeria’s democracy.

In a statement to commemorate international women’s day, Tinubu promised policy initiatives on educating and empowering women, by ensuring that they remain relevant and unimpeachable voices in the development process across all sectors of the economy.

In the same light, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has pledged commitment to gender equality and empowerment for a brighter, inclusive future.

He added that his government is committed to gender equality, to celebrate the achievements of women, and to inspire positive change to build a Lagos that cherishes and uplifts every woman.
