The World football ruling body has released the latest ranking for the month of October 2023 with Nigeria maintaining its position as 40th in the World and placed 6th in Africa.

Although the eagles engaged in various friendly games most of which ended in draws and failed to to improve their status and ranking.

Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt also maintained their top five position in Africa, with Cameroun, Mali, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso making top ten.

The Eagles will have another opportunity to improve their ranking when the World Cup qualifier resumes next month.
