Prominent Christian cleric and founder of C.A.C Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, on Thursday turned the sod for the proposed Sam Olu Alo Foundation (SOAF) General Hospital, Irete-Ijebu, Ogun State.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony in Irete-Ijebu, Odogbolu, Ogun State, Prophet Olu Alo said the multimillion-naira healthcare facility would bridge the gap in accessible medical care for underprivileged communities.

Olu Alo, renowned for his philanthropic initiatives, emphasized the hospital’s core mission:for quick intervention in response to the he health needs of the less privileged, the indigent and the vulnerable. “This hospital is not for profit,” he declared. “The intention is to set up a facility that can tend to the needs of the less privileged while offering world-class medical expertise.”

On fears that the facility may only be accessible to a sect, the cleric clarified that the hospital would be opened to people of all religious and ethnic groups.

Prophet Alo further revealed plans to recruit medical practitioners from across the globe, including consultants from Canada, the United States, and other countries worldwide.

Supporting the cleric, leading members of the Implementation Committee for the project, comprising Bolaji Adisa, Afolabi Imoukhuede, Lanre Ajibade, and Dr. Olufemi Faweya, all offered assurances that the project, which will engage international collaboration, will bring together the best minds and facilities in the medical field, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

The groundbreaking event drew dignitaries, including Otunba Dosumu Saheed, the Chairman of the Anowoneyo Area Community Development Committee in Irete Ijebu, and the Onirete of Irete Ijebu, Oba Abdulganiyu Awokoya-Yesufu. Both leaders commended Prophet Olu Alo’s thoughtfulness and vision in establishing this vital healthcare facility.

Oba Awokoya-Yesufu said, “As a community, we have not demanded money or personal gifts, just the development of our land. We are grateful that Baba has brought this infrastructural development that puts us on the map.”

The first phase of the Sam Olu Alo Foundation General Hospital, expected to launch later this year, will offer comprehensive medical services encompassing maternal and child health, primary care, geriatric care, and ophthalmology services.

Call To Well Meaning Nigerians To Join Project

Recall Prophet Sam Olu-Alo had announced the establishment of the hospital in December, 2023 at a Church Event.

Speaking passionately at the Friday vigil of the Global Convention of the Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Ministry in Lagos, Prophet Olu-Alo revealed that the decision to build the hospital was motivated by the inadequate healthcare infrastructure and the exorbitant cost of medical services.

“I have witnessed the suffering of many Nigerians who cannot afford quality healthcare. It is disheartening to see people struggle due to the high cost of medical services. The SOAF Hospital is my contribution towards making healthcare accessible and affordable for all,” said Prophet Sam Olu-Alo.

He then called on well-meaning Nigerians to contribute to the noble cause by supporting the Sam Olu-Alo Foundation with donations of trailers of cement, building materials, and health equipment to facilitate the timely commencement of the hospital’s construction.

This is a collective effort, and I believe that together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of many. I urge fellow Nigerians and philanthropists to join hands with the Sam Olu-Alo Foundation in this endeavor.” he urged.
