Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has blamed the resurgence of fuel queues in the state to fuel marketers which he said were taking undue advantage of Nigerians by hiking fuel prices.

Sanwo-Olu during a surprise visit to state workers at the secretariat in Alausa, Ikeja, today described the sudden hike in petrol price and attendant queues as unfair, blaming the situation on marketers.

According to Sanwo-Olu, the president’s pronouncement should have not caused queues, while expressing hope that the federal government will effectively handle the situation.

The governor said his visit was to encourage staff, keep communication, ask questions and see how to keep things running in his second tenure.
