The house of representative says it will continue to engage Nigerians on ways to improve the legislative structure and the delivery of its services, to better represent the various interests of the different ethnic groups captured within the nation.

Speaking at the house of representatives townhall on 2024 budget, the speaker, Tajudeen Abass stated that such gathering fosters inclusiveness and unity, allowing Nigerians to decide what they want, while promising that the resolutions will be implemented.

On his part, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu believes Nigeria’s 2024 budget proposal will address the challenges facing the country, insisting that the national assembly under the present leadership with its dedication to the welfare of the citizens, scrutinise and ensure that the 2024 budget is a responsible and effective distribution of public resources.

President Bola Tinubu had last week presented a budget proposal of N27.5 trillion to a joint session of the National Assembly, his first since taking over as Nigeria’s leader in May.
