The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state have disagreed on the vote of confidence passed on Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu by members of the State Executive Council.

In a statement the spokesman for the PDP in the state, Kennedy Peretei, said concerned opinion leaders in the state were still in the process of proffering solutions to the present political logjam when the State Executive Committee passed the vote of confidence ‘on their boss whose whereabouts have been unknown for more than 65 days.

However, in a counter statement by the Director of Media of the all-progressive congress, Steve Otaloro, the vote of confidence was supported by the majority of the cabinet members, with only two members abstaining from signing.

Otaloro insisted that the state is progressing and implementation of projects has not stopped, noting that those crying foul are seeking undue attention.

Governor Akeredolu has been absent from the public since returning from his sick leave on September 7.
