Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Ikare Akoko, following the crisis in the community.

It was gathered that two youth groups clashed at a New Year Carnival held in the town, where two people lost their lives while shops and vehicles were allegedly vandalised and burnt down by some hoodlums.

However, the curfew order was contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde.

The governor ordered security agencies to ensure strict compliance with the directive.
