The Minister of power, Adebayo Adelabu has appealed to the organized labour to embrace dialogue on the subject of electricity traffic review, noting that the government is working to improve lives of Nigerians.

Adelabu speaking through his Permanent Secretary, Mamudan Mamman, after members of the organized labour stormed his office, to protest the recent hike in price, said the National Assembly has intervened, and he will invite the workers to negotiate the tariff.

Speaking at the Federal Ministry of Power, NLC president, Joe Ajaero said the government must return to the status- quo before any negotiation with the workers, insisting that the current economic situation is chocking the masses.

The action of the workers follows a joint directive from the leadership of both the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) at weekend to their members to picket these offices in protest of the tariff hike.
