Ballon D’Or Winner, Lionel Messi has ruled out the possibility of him returning to Barcelona on loan following completion of his first MLS season at Inter Miami.
The 2023 MLS regular season finished last month, and with Inter Miami not making the play-offs, they are not due to return to competitive action until February.
But Messi said having won all that was there to win in Europe, he had no thoughts of returning to play for any team on the continent.
Admitting that “there is no chance” of returning to Barcelona, Messi confessed to still keeping tabs on the club of his life.
“Evidently I follow them as [I did] when I was in Paris. It seems to me that the team has evolved well after the arrival of Xavi, with a mix of young and more experienced players like [Robert] Lewandowski or [Jules] Kounde.
