The Senate, has appealed to the organized labor to give the federal government time to resolve the various issues bedeviling the nation.

 

This resolution was presented to representatives of the labor union after they gained access into the National Assembly complex.

 

In a swift reaction, Senate President Godswill Akpabio set up a three-man committee led by Senate Chief Whip, Ali Ndume to meet with the protesters at the National Assembly, and provide solution to the issues raised.

 

The Ndume committee appealed to the organized labor to give a window of ten days for stakeholders to find an amicable resolution to the current impasse

 

Last week, the NLC issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Federal Government and demanded the immediate reversal of all anti-poor policies of the federal government including the recent hike in PMS (Premium Motor Spirit) price, increase in public school fees, the release of the eight months withheld salary of university lecturers and workers.
