The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 34 suspects for various crimes including armed robbery, cultism, and unlawful firearm possession.
Briefing newsmen, Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade said the suspects were arrested between December 2023 and January 2024 in Igando, Mile 12, Ikorodu, Ayobo, Iju Ishaga,Ijora, Eti-Osa and Ibeju Lekki.
CP Fayoade said his operatives recovered 16 firearms, 72 live cartridges, 75 ammunition, and other weapons from the suspects.
While affirming that the suspects will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigations, the Commissioner appealed to the public to increase security consciousness and report suspicious activities.
