It Made the Clarification Following Allegations of Improper Spending and Contract Awards Raised in an Open Letter by The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Funso Doherty.

Providing Provided Justifications and Explanations for 45 Questioned Projects and Purchases Totaling Over N300 Billion Naira, The State Public Procurement Agency Said the Provision of Supply Items Quoted as 2.01 Billion in The Open Letter Was Actually 2.01million Naira.

The Public Procurement Agency Also Justified the N218 Billion Awarded to China Civil Engineering Construction Company (Ccecc) To Continue Construction of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (Lrmt) Blue Line from Mile 2 To Okokomaiko, Noting That the Original Budget of N70 Billion in 2008 Was Insufficient.

While Blaming Funding Delays, The Government Clarified That It Aims to Complete Section 2 Of The Blue Line Within This Administration Using an Instalment Payment Plan.
