The presidential candidate of the Labour party in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi, says the president Tinubu administration has shown a sense of detachment from the sufferings of Nigerians, describing the government as an institution aloof of current happenings

 

 

Obi said this at a press conference today, faulting the president for establishing the office of the first lady which he said was a waste of national resources, while slamming lawmakers for prioritizing stomach infrastructure over the actual plight of the people.

 

 

Obi also reacted to the supreme court judgement which upheld the victory of president Tinubu at the February polls, dragging independent national electoral commission and the judiciary for comprise in its duties while stating that all legal battle has ended as national unity takes preeminence.

 

 

The former governor noted that despite the failure of judiciary to uphold what he described as the will of the people, he will continue to believe in a new Nigeria and fight to keep his dreams alive.
