The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo has suspended Dana Airline operations due to concerns surrounding the safety and financial viability of their operations.

This is coming hours after a Dana Airplane skidded off the runway at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, forcing aviation authorities to divert flights from local to international airport.

In a letter to the NCAA Director-General, the minister said the move was necessary to ensure safety and regulatory compliance and for decisive action to be taken to safeguard the interests of all stakeholders involved.

Meanwhile, the runway was reopened this morning after FAAN’s emergency response team evacuated and recovered the aircraft from the site.
