The winner of saturday’s by-election in Surulere constituency 1, Fuad Laguda says one of his agenda will be to address the issue of multiple taxations for the benefit to the public.

 

Laguda speaking during an interview stated that his predecessor, Femi Gbajabiamila has laid solid foundations that must be sustained, while noting that he is more than ready to meet the demands of his constituents in terms of dividends of democracy.

 

According to him, he expects some form of pressure at the early stages of his tenure, submitting that the influence Gbajabiamila wielded as a top lawmaker during his time presented certain privileges which he said may take time for him to build.

 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Fuad Laguda, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as winner of the Surulere Federal Constituency 1 Bye-Election, to replace Femi Gbajabiamila who President Tinubu appointed as his chief of staff.
