The Embattled deputy governor, Philip Shaibu walked out of the Colloquium Organised by the state government in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Midwest referendum.

Shaibu left the venue angry after altercations with security operatives who barred his media team from gaining entrance into the venue.

Shuaibu has lost favour with his principal, Governor Godwin Obaseki, over political differences which includes the well publicised desire of the deputy Governor to take over the affairs of the state in 2024.
