Nigeria Table Tennis star Edem Offiong has won the first medal for the team Nigeria at the 13th edition of the African Games in Ghana.

 

Offiong won the Bronze medal in the women’s Table Tennis Singles event, losing her semifinal match by 4-0 to Egypt’s Dina Meshref.

 

While reacting after winning the bronze medal, the Spain-based star appreciated the Nigeria Table-Tennis Federation for the support given to her.

 

According to her, the Egyptians are ahead, because they attend more competitions, expressing hope that the Nigerian federation will take a cue.

 

It’s the second consecutive Bronze medal Edem will be winning at the African Games having finished 3rd at the last African Games in Rabat, Morroco
