The Presidency has charged the new governor of Kogi state, Usman Ododo to replicate the wave of development and renewed hope established by President Tinubu at the national level, stating that the hope of the people must not be dashed.
Vice President Kashim Shettima said this today during the swearing-in ceremony of Ododo as the Governor of the state, urging him to shun politics of revenge and hatred and serve the people meritoriously to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor, Yahya Bello.
In his first speech as the Governor, Ododo appreciated the people of the state for their show of support, while calling on aggrieved persons to embrace peace and unity, working together for the growth and peace of the state.
Ododo’s inauguration came just minutes after Salifu Joel Oyibo took his oath of office as the deputy governor of Kogi State, in the presence of party chieftains and residents of the state.
