President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the recent devastating floods in Jigawa State, which claimed the lives of over 16 people and displaced more than 3,000 residents across 14 local government areas.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu extended his condolences to the state government and the affected communities.

He acknowledged the need for sustained efforts to combat climate change and address the environmental challenges that contribute to such disasters.

The President assured the people of Jigawa State of his administration’s full support during this difficult time and prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in the tragedy.
