President Bola Tinubu has presented the Edo governorship flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Monday Okpebholo, and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, expressing optimism that the ruling party is on the path to victory in the September election.
Addressing a gathering of party stalwarts led by the National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, the President pledged that the party would stand with the candidates, employing its vast resources to ensure that it restores the state to the progressive path.
In his remarks, the National Chairman of the APC emphasised the unity of purpose within the party towards achieving victory in the election, noting that the candidate is a man of repute and trustworthy
Meanwhile, reports in some section of the media, claim Idahosa who was declared by the Governor Hope Uzodimma-led committee, as the party’s nominee, has been urged to withdraw his court case against the candidacy of Okpebholo.
