President Bola Tinubu has unveiled plans to establish a Federal Ministry of Livestock Development.

The announcement came during the inauguration of the Presidential Committee on Livestock Reforms at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday.

The newly formed committee will be chaired by President Tinubu himself, with former Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) chairman, Attahiru Jega, serving as Deputy Chairman.

The committee’s primary objective is to propose recommendations that will promote peaceful coexistence between herders and farmers while ensuring the security and economic welfare of all Nigerians.

It is expected that the President will soon appoint a minister for the new ministry soon.
