Lagos state government says it will continue to employ innovative ways to tackle the unemployment and other challenges prevalent in the state.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said this in a post on social media, commended the onboarding of 2,500 interns in the Lagos State Graduate Internship Placement Programme (GIPP), which he said was created to help young people gain valuable skills and experiences.

According to the governor, the GIPP was established to help bridge the significant gap between what students learn in school and the practical skills needed in the workplace, and ensure that graduates, especially post-NYSC graduates, are well-prepared to thrive in their careers.

Sanwo-olu however assured that the state will maintain its drive to empower young people and create real opportunities for them, building sustainable wealth across various industries.
