The Supreme Court has set a later date to deliver judgement in the petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress against the election of Alex Otti of Abia.

The five-man panel of Justiced led by John Okoro adjourned the matters for judgments after taking arguments from parties involved in the matter.

The APC and PDP are asking the apex court to nullify the election of Otti of the Labour Party as Abia State Governor.

A previous judgment by the Court of Appeal in Lagos dismissed the petitions by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, Okey Ahiwe, and Ikechi Emenike of the APC on the basis that it lacked merit.
